Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in plasma and prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP-RIA) in patients with prostatic neoplasms

summary

By the method of radioimmunoassay the concentrations of CEA and PAP were determined in the serum of 70 patients with prostatic carcinoma in various stages of clinical progression, in 38 cases of prostatic adenoma and in 20 healthy subjects. It was found that simultaneous determinations of CEA and PAP raised. the effectiveness of laboratory investigations in prostatic carcinoma, the effectiveness of laboratory diagnosis in prostatic carcinoma.
