summary

Result are presented of six Percutaneous operations for calculi in the kidneys and upper of the ureter. The operations were done using a nephroscope after previous formation of nephrostomy by Percutaneous puncture of the calycopelvic system of the kidney. Ultrasonic energy was used for crushing of calculi. In all cases the cal­culi were removed radically. The method of Percutaneous nephrostolithotripsy (PCNL) is described and its advantages are discussed.
