summary

The surgical management of bilateral renal tumours is presented on the basis of two cases.

In the first patient - nephrectomy on one side and enucleation of the tumour of the opposite kidney

were done. Clear cell carcinoma was found on liistopatological examination in both tumours. During

seven years follow-up no relapse of the cancer has been found.

In the second patient - enucleation of the tumour on one side (clear cell carcinoma) and resection

of the lower pole of the opposite kidney containing foci of transitional cell carcinoma was done. No

recurrence of the tumour during 4 months follow-up was found.
