urinary tract reccurent urolithiasis calcium tolerance test
summary
- The author presents results of the calcium tolerance test performed in 20 patients
- with recurrent urolithiasis and hypercalciuria observed on a normal diet.
- 8 patients (40%) fulfilled the criteria of absorptive hypercalciuria (HK), 4 (20%) -
- renal HK, 2 (10%) - resorptive HK, 3 (15%) - "alimentary" HK. In the others the test
- was nondiagnostic.
- The low sensivity (71 %) of calcium tolerance test limits its usefulness in the diagnosis
- of Hk types.
