LOCAL STEROIDOTHERAPY IN TREATMENT OF PEYRONIE'S DISEASE

Objective. The aim of the study was the estimation of the usefulness of local
steroidotherapy in Peyronie's disease.
Material and method. 21 patiens were treated. Injections of 2-4mg dexametazone
were given every 10-14 days for 6 months locally to the pla±ue.
Results. 9 patients (43%) were cured. In 7 (33%) patients penile curvature was absent
and in 8 (38%) was smaller after treatment. After 6 month treatment all patients observed
erectile improvement. There were not complications during this form of the treatment.
Conclusions. Local dexametazone steroidotherapy is useful in conservative treatment
of Peyronie's disease.
