summary

The development of minimally - invasive diagnostic techniques as well as progress achieved in endourology, make the conservative treatment of most renal injuries possible. The majority of controversies arise from the conservative treatment of grade IV kidneyinjuries, especially in patients with congenital kidney malformations. The paper presents a case of successful treatment of a 56-year-old man, injured in a car accident with grade IV injury of his horseshoe kidney.
