summary

IgA level in serum and in urine 25 children suffering from cystitis cystica coexissing with urinary- tract contamination and vesico-ureteral reflux as well as urinary- tract contamination and erytrocyturia with no reflux before and after simultaneous treatment with steroids and anti--bacterial drugs was evaluated.
Higher level of IgA in urine in children with cystitis cystica and vesico- ureteral reflux was observed before therapy and it decreased after therapy.
Decrease of IgA was correlated with the improved cystoscopic image and anti-reflux operation was then possible. No similar differences were observed in other groups.
