summary

the course of the HIV infection and caused the fall of death rate due to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Earlier recognized opportunistic infections are currently happening rarely. More aggressive treatment of many diseases such as neoplasmatic diseases are possible thanks to HAART. At present, HIV infected patients are not disqualified from the most complicated interventions such as transplantation of organs or reconstructive operations. It seems, that due to the longer lifetime of HIV infected patients, they will need urological intervention more often. Authors discuss the tumors which are present more often in HIV infected persons and define AIDS (Kaposi sarcoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, cervical cancer) as well as these which are recognized in HIV infected persons more often but do not define AIDS (testicle tumors, penile cancer, renal cell cancer). We discussed the diagnosis and the treatment of the tumors which incidence grows up with the age (prostate cancer) and for this reason can cause an essential clinical problem in this group of patients . In the era of HAART prognosis concerning the tumors is same in both HIV infected and non HIV infected patients. The treatment applied to the majority of HIV infected patients usually does not differ from this applied to the non HIV infected patients and the results of treatment are comparable in both groups.
