Metastases of rectal cancer to the kidney are very rare. Clinical reports of secondary renal tumors remain infrequent in comparison with

autopsy reports. Coexisting hydronephrosis may contribute to the difficulty in diagnosing these tumors. The route of metastasis to the

kidney by primary rectal tumor is unclear. We report a case of unilateral renal metastasis from mucinous rectal carcinoma.
