summary

Nonischemic arterial high flow priapism caused by traumatic arteriocavernous fistula is rare. We report a case of a lacerated branch of the
left cavernous artery after sustaining a straddle-trauma to the perineum, which was confirmed by selective arteriography and treated with
superselective embolization using absorbable gelatine sponge. At follow up 3 and 6 months later, erectile function had returned to normal.
Our case demonstrates that superselective embolization of an arteriocavernous fistula is a safe and effective therapy for arterial priapism.
