Value of retrigonization of bladder neck in preventing vesicoureteral reflux'after prostatic adenectomy

summary

Cystouretherography performed in 198 patients operated upon for prostatic adenoma demonstrated vesicouretal reflux in early postooperative period in 16% of cases. The fre±uency of reflux was lower in the patients operated upon by the Millin method than in those after transvesical prostatectoniy. Retrigondzation ot the bladder neck after prostatic adeneotomy reduoed by\one half the frequency of reflux deyelopment and Mmited in this wa.y the possibility of ascending urinary tract infection. Cystoureteral refl,ux found in early postoperative period regreseed sponitaneously.
