Observations in radical operations in renal tumours

summary

Problems comnected with cairrying out radical operations of renal malignant ' neoplasms are discussed with stress laid on surgical techni±ues. In the group ope­rated upon for renal carcinoma in 35 cases radical nephrectomy was done with remoyal of the retroperitoneal lymphatic system. In 6 cases tumour plugs were removed from the lumen of the inferior cavail vein, in 3 cases a part of its wall was removed and in 1 case the vein was ligated and cut. Two patients died after the operation. Piroblems comnected with the choice of incision are discussed.
