summary

Clinical observations after embolization of arteries supplying the neoplasms of the kidneys and bladder are reported in 72 patients with renal tumours and 10 with bladder tumours. Clinical manifestations after embolization are discussed in cases of operable and inoperable tumours. Embolization of inoperable renal and bladder tumours reduced the bleeding and presented massive haemorrhages which had been until now the Indications to surgical intervantion. In patients with ope­rable tumours the method facilitalted the operation.
