In 90 patients of either sex with calcium urinary calculi the concentrations of calcium and inorganic phosphorus were determined in the serum together with the urinary excretion of these elernents before and after crenotherapy. Before this treatment in over half the cases hypophosphataemia was present, 19.0% had a tendency for hypercalcaemia and 9.0% for hypocalcaemia. Changes in the con­centrations were associated with increased urinary excretion of calcium and pho-sphates. After crenotherapy a significant decreasing tendency was found in the serum concentration of calcium with a tendency for compensation of hypophos­phataemia and for normalization of their ratio. The patients excreted with urine still higher amounts of calcium and phosphate. Before the treatment there was an inverse correlation between the plasma phosphours concentration and urinary calcium excretion, while after the treatment no such correlation was noticed.
