summary

Urinary incontinence (UI) is a frequent disease in menopausal women. Low menopausal estrogen levels are responsible for many disadvantageous changes of urogenital organs which results in urinary continence impairment. Intravaginal estrogen therapy, reversing atrophic lesions of lower urogenital tracts, seems to be an useful tool in the treatment of most UI cases in women after menopause.
