Treatment results of 47 patients with VVF, who underwent surgical management
have been described. 21 patients were treated by transabdominal approach and 26
patients by authors own modified transvaginal method. In 40 patients (85,1%) successful repair was achieved after first operation and in 7 patients after subsequent proce-
dures with transvaginal approach. Authors regard transvaginal approach to be an advantage; additionally it is possible in majority of patients, low balasted and easy to repeat.
