summary

The occurrence of the primary renal carcinoid tumor is very rare. The authors present
a case of a patient who underwent radical nephrectomy due to a tumor of the kidney
pT2V0N0M0 (1° of Robson stage).
Histologic and immunohistochemic studies revealed the structure of the carcinoid.
Comprehensive diagnostic procedures confirmed the primary origin of the tumor in the
kidney. Pathology, symptomatology, treatment and prognosis of such a neoplasm is
discussed.
