summary

Objective. Represent balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO) rare injury of the
penis and a reason for stricture of meatus and urethre.
Material and method. Two patients with recurrent urethral strictures and
severe obstruction symptoms due to BXO were treated with Micha這wski
open urethrotomy.
Results. All patients void spontaneously without urine obstruction.
Conclusions. In cases where a patient presents with recurrent, long term
meatal an urethral strictures accompanied by characteristic abnormality in
the physical appaerence of the. penis there may be grounds for suspecting
BXO. Micha這wski open urethrotomy offers an alternative method of treating
urethral strictures accuring with BXO.
