summary

The immunological reactivity was investigated in 46 patients with renal car­cinoma. The index of immunological reactivity was determined in the patients on the basis of a proposed acording scale from 0 to 2 po>ints. A group of non-reactive patients was isolated who re±uired individual selection of treatment based on im­munological monitoring. There is a need for determination of the immunological status of cases of renal carcinoma before the operation. The investigations of im­munological reactivity may be helpful in the isolation of high risk patients whose risk is connected with a transient postoperative depression of immunological reac-tivity and with increased risk of implantation of malignat cells in remote organs. Demonstration of non-reactivity my be an additional argument for the decison on temporary delay of the operation.
